Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AKS iQ LLC ("AKS iQ", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal data collected through aksiq.com and its subdomains, and the mobile apps published by AKS iQ LLC.

Our wholly owned subsidiary, AKS iQ (Private) Limited, Karachi, Pakistan, may process personal data on our behalf to operate and support our services.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to aksiq.com and its subdomains, and to the mobile apps published by AKS iQ LLC on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

It covers the personal data we handle as a controller: data about visitors to our websites and users of our apps, where we decide why and how it is used.

When we provide our platform to a business client, such as a bank, that client remains the controller of the personal data it processes through our systems. We act as its processor, following its instructions under the agreement between us. This policy does not apply to that data.

3. Data we collect

Data you give us

  • Name, work email, phone number, company, job title and message, when you request a demo, contact us or email us
  • Account details, such as name, email and login credentials, if you create an account in one of our apps
  • Content you choose to submit through our apps

Data collected automatically

  • On aksiq.com: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location based on IP address, pages visited and the site that referred you
  • In our apps: device type, operating system, app version, and crash and performance data

4. How we use your data, and why we're allowed to

  • To respond to demo requests and enquiries, because you asked us to
  • To provide, operate and support our apps, to deliver the service you signed up for
  • To keep our website and apps secure and fix problems, in our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and users
  • To understand how people use our website, so we can improve it, in our legitimate interest in improving the site, or with your consent where the law requires it
  • To contact you about our products if you requested a demo or asked to hear from us, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, because the law requires it

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data.

We share it only with:

  • AKS iQ (Private) Limited, our subsidiary, to operate and support our services
  • Service providers that work for us, such as our customer relationship management (CRM) system, website analytics, hosting and email providers. They may use your data only to provide services to us, and must protect it.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it
  • A buyer or successor, if AKS iQ is involved in a merger or acquisition, under the terms of this policy

6. Cookies and analytics

aksiq.com uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site. Learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics does not set these cookies unless consent is given.

Visitors elsewhere can block or delete cookies in their browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We may add other tools in future. We will update this policy before we do.

7. How we protect your data

Data sent to and from aksiq.com is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to personal data is limited to people and providers who need it to run our services. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

If a data breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authorities without undue delay, as the law requires.

8. How long we keep it and how to delete it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires.

  • Demo and contact requests: while we have a business relationship with you, or until you ask us to delete them
  • App account data: while your account is open. After it closes, we delete it unless the law requires us to keep it

To delete your data, or your account in one of our apps, email dr.asim@aksiq.com. Where an app offers it, you can also delete your account from inside the app. We respond within 30 days.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent you gave earlier. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

You can also object to processing we carry out in our legitimate interests, ask us to restrict processing while a query is resolved, and ask for the data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format.

To use any of these rights, email dr.asim@aksiq.com. We will not treat you differently for using them.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would ask you to contact us first so we can try to put it right.

10. Children

Our website and apps are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn we have, we delete it.

11. International transfers

AKS iQ operates in the United States and Pakistan. Your data may be stored or processed in those countries, and in countries where our service providers operate. We protect it to the standard in this policy wherever it is processed.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. For significant changes, we will also give notice on our website or in our apps.
